Advertising can tell you a lot about a country
Generally, people think that advertising only reveals some truth and hopes about a product or service. They might think so because all advertisements are designed only to let people know something positive about a certain thing. However, if some people have a keen sense of detector, they may discover easily some information about a country in an advertisement.First of all, an advertisement consists of two main parts; text and image. Therefore, by recognizing the kind of the letter in the advertisement from a certain country, many people are able to learn which language is mainly spoken in that country. For example, when I, who saw some English written in some advertisement from Australia, was young, I could guess English is one of the official languages in Australia. Moreover, from some images this repetitively appeared in advertisement of a country, people are able to also figure out what would be the main industry in that country. For instance, my friend, 25, a large cell-phone company in Korea, always recommends that Samsung cell phone, which is made from Korea, extremely famous in the world, is better than other kinds of cell phones. However, most Koreans tend to understand that Finland is the most famous for its cell phone all over the world because via some pictures of cell phone in advertisement of Nokia from beginning with 21th, the No.1, Finnish maker of cell phone. To summarize, the advertising are able to display us about a country and main industry. Thus I agree with the statement that advertising can tell you a lot about a county. In addition, you may also find the country’s level of design in general, through various advertising of a country.
